Mike Giunta

Chief Creative Officer

After wanting to be a writer since he was in the 3rd grade, Mike started his career as the worst kind of public accountant — the kind who pined to abandon numbers for words. After a few years of begging, pleading, and writing for free to prove his chops, Mike got his big break at Blattner Brunner. The first thing he realized about his career change was that he no longer had to wear a suit or shave every day. But the best change was having the chance to come up with new creative ideas every day and collaborate with some extremely talented art directors.

Mike then joined GH Advertising and was soon named one of the city’s rising stars in Pittsburgh Magazine’s annual “40 Under 40” issue. At GH, he helped grow the creative department to become one of the most awarded agencies in the city, leading the creative team to win numerous local, regional, and national awards including Addys, Obies, and Communication Arts. Mike’s work has also been featured in Ad Week and Creativity magazines, and even a Swedish documentary. He’s received five Best of Show honors in regional competitions, a few Judges Awards of Excellence, and four Mosaic Awards for promoting diversity in advertising. He’s also written for a local satirical news site and is on the Board of Directors of the American Advertising Federation-Pittsburgh. He was inducted into the AAF Pittsburgh Hall of Achievement in 2025.

Mike lives in the North Hills with his wife and three kids.
