
Jonathan Potts
VICE PRESIDENT FOR COMMUNICATIONS
Jonathan is a veteran strategic communications leader with wide-ranging expertise in media relations, internal communications, executive communications, social media, and crisis communications as well as experience in marketing and branding.
Prior to joining GH, Jonathan was Vice President for Communications and Public Affairs at the Allegheny County Airport Authority (ACAA), leading day-to-day communications for Pittsburgh International Airport and Allegheny County Airport. This included media relations, social media, internal communications, events, and graphic design. He also led all internal and external communications for the Terminal Modernization Program at PIT, a $1.7 billion construction project that includes a new terminal, parking garage, and roadway system. Jonathan worked for 15 years at Robert Morris University. During that time, he managed advertising and brand campaigns, the launch of a new university website, and the development of RMU’s robust social media presence. He also helped the university secure multi-million-dollar state redevelopment grants for several major construction projects, including the UPMC Events Center.
Previously, Jonathan was the Director of Media Relations for the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University and a reporter and editor at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Westminster College and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from RMU. He and his wife live In Brookline and have three children.
